Supplier - setting up your mini-site
Where Do I Start?
If you have requested a supplier listing, you will initially have a status of ‘Application Awaiting Moderation’. At this point you should start to create your minisite (this will become a focused version of your website within The Vanilla Pages).
Start by chosing to ‘edit’ your company in My Vanilla. You will be presented with a number of fields that will need to be completed, please take time to consider what information is held in what field. You should pay particular attention to the ‘overview’ as this text is seen next to your company logo in the search results - the first information buyers read about you before viewing your whole minisite.
You can return to edit all of this text at any time.
Once you submit your minisite it will be moderated by The Vanilla Team. The moderation may involve extensive identity checks to verify that the company exists and also to veryify that there is no fraudulent activity, i.e. no company trying to pass itself off as another company. Following moderation your minisite will be published and your status will change to ‘Full Member (payment pending)’.
Adding Products
At this point you can add products to your minisite in My Vanilla. We suggest that you add as many products as you can and include photos where possible. Although this is a time consuming process, the greater the depth of information, the more prolific your company and products will be in search results.
Adding Photos
Images must be no wider than [tbc]pixels, and should be in a valid graphical format (jpg, gif or png). Should you require further help with uploading your photographs please contact us directy by email or telephone.
Adding Wholesalers
If your wholesaler is a member of The Vanilla Pages you should search for their profile and connect yourself to the wholesaler via their profile page. If your wholesaler is not a member of The Vanilla Pages, please pass them our contact details and encourage them to list so that you enhance your distribution profile to buyers viewing your minisite.
