Forums
What are forums?
Forums are discussion areas that allow members to share ideas, opinions and information quickly and easily. Organised by topics in an easy-to-follow format, forums are designed so you can quickly locate information, find other knowledgeable members and participate in conversation. The Vanilla Pages forums are designed to encourage members with common interests and businesses to communicate, network and exchange ideas.
What is best practice?
The community forums have been created with the intention of providing a comfortable place for people with a common interest to meet, exchange ideas, share information and network. These forums are maintained in that spirit and members are expected to respect these objectives. The basic guide to etiquette is this: be polite, keep your language clean and respect the opinions of others (even if you disagree). The forum administrator will browse the forums regularly to ensure that the guidelines are being followed.
Who can join the forums?
There are general forums and interest specific forums. Whilst access to forums is open to all, it is recommended that members should only join the interest specific forums that are of relevance to them.
Who can add a new forum?
Any member can add a forum, however a request to add a forum has to be authorised by the Vanilla team.
