FFDindex™ - Policy for Use
FFDindex™ has been designed to reinforce the reputation of suppliers and encourage both feedback and honest supplier/buyer relationships. In addition, it will offer assistance and assurance to the trade when making buying decisions.
Buyers will be rating suppliers according to how their relationship with that supplier has added value to their business. The index score runs alongside a comment/review system, whereby every scoring is encouraged to be followed up with a comment supporting the rating. The author of the comment will remain anonymous to all except the supplier in question.
Buyers should ensure that they use the system in a fair, responsible and honest way. In particular, buyers are required to confirm they will abide by the following conditions:
- Only buyers who have completed the approval process and validated their trade status are permitted to submit ratings, one rating per supplier.
- Buyers should ensure that they have been a customer of that supplier within the past three months.
- When submitting your rating and comment, the primary consideration should be “to what extent your relationship with the supplier has added value to your business”.
- Buyers should ensure they make a fair judgment of the supplier in the context of their business relationship rather than any personal dealings with representatives of the supplier.
- Although ratings and comments are anonymous, the supplier to whom the supporting comment has been left will be aware of the buyers ‘screen name’. Suppliers always retain the ‘right to reply’ and the right for their reply to be seen for all to read.
- Once a rating/comment has been submitted it can not be retracted. Should a comment be deemed unconstructive, The Vanilla Pages reserve the right to remove it.
